Information about the programme

LPP Erasmus – Studies

Erasmus is a European Union educational programme, in which our University has been participating since 1998/99. Between 1995 – 2000 Erasmus was a part of Socrates Programme, hence the name Socrates/Erasmus. However, since the 2007/2008 academic year it has been incorporated into the Lifelong Learning Programme, therefore, it is now often called LLP-Erasmus.

You can apply for the LLP-Erasmus grant if you meet the following criteria:

·         you are a student (of full-time or part-time degree programme)  or a PhD student of Wrocław University

·         your faculty has signed the LPP-Erasmus exchange agreements with other universities in the European
          Union.

·         you have completed the first year of studies at your own University

·         you know the language of the country you would like to visit (in Scandinavia, Belgium and Holland
knowledge of English will often suffice)

·         your academic results meet the standards required for application (the decision about the level of the
required  grade point average is made independently by individual faculties or departments of the
          University)

The status of an exchange student  in the LPP-Erasmus Programme:

The time spent abroad in the host country is recognized by The University of Wrocław as an integral part of your studies as long as you abide by terms of so-called “Learning Agreement”. Therefore, you do not need to repeat the year or take the leave of absence.

The rights and duties of a student taking part in the programme are regulated by the Erasmus Student Charter.
